Customer needs: A scaffold to the front of this 2-storey semi-detached house was required for painting the windows and surrounding areas.
Difficulties we faced: This structure was a very simple painters scaffold for our West Sussex scaffolding erectors to put up, the only slight issue we faced was the road was fairly busy with cars parked all along the roadside, so we were unable to park directly outside the house, however, we did manage to park our truck a little further down and walk the equipment just a small distance. There was also a small roof covering the front door area, so we had to make sure that the working platform was above this so that it did not get damaged in anyway.
What we did: A 2 lift scaffold was erected to the front of this property however the 1st lift was not required as the painter could reach the ground floor windows without the need of a fully boarded working platform. The second lift was put up with guard rails and toe boards along with ladder access. One of the windows was a bay style window so access was required to all sides. The other window was flush against the brickwork so was easily accessed via the top working platform.
Hire period: This scaffold was only needed for 2 weeks by the client.
