Construction and new build projects
We have previously erected many scaffolds for building, construction, and industrial sites and clients, and our team of fully qualified scaffolding erectors can cover the whole of the Sussex area and beyond. Our scaffolders work quickly, efficiently and safely when putting up and taking down scaffolds for new builds, large housing developments and any type of progressive brickwork projects.
Commercial clients and premises
We also erect and dismantle commercial scaffolds to shop fronts, warehouses, factories, office blocks, hotels, pubs, shopping centres, sports facilities, stadiums, schools, hospitals, train stations, or anywhere the public may be present in large numbers and safety is the number one priority. We can also apply for a scaffolding pavement licence if required.
- Planning and design – Our scaffolding company provides a free site visit to analyse risks and safety hazards and plan the job through a thorough site survey. With proper planning comes safe, risk-free scaffolds erected to completion. Any extras that are required can be included in our quote, and we can discuss this during the site visit.
- Qualified scaffolders – Our teams of scaffolding erectors will perform quickly once the planning and design are signed off, offering a safe and tidy installation of all our tubes, fitting and boards. We will provide an adaptable and flexible service that will benefit your requirements on any construction, building or domestic project.
- Dismantling and after-sales care – We offer regular visits from a health and safety officer, as well as call-out service, and we are always on hand to provide whatever you need. When we put up or take down the scaffold structure, you can be assured that we do it quickly, safely and in a tidy fashion, leaving the construction or building site as it was before we arrived. As dismantling can be just as complex as when erecting tall structures, any structural or load-bearing scaffolds need careful consideration; this is why you should use our scaffolding erectors service, as we provide the best and most professional teams in West Sussex.
Frequently asked questions
What is scaffolding?
Scaffolding is a temporary structure typically made from steel tubes and timber planks. It supports construction workers, trades, installers, maintenance and repair workers, and their materials, who need to work safely at height on a secure platform or tower.
What are scaffolding erectors?
Scaffold erectors, also known as scaffolders, work for a company that assembles and dismantles scaffolds. They have obtained scaffolding tickets (Part 1, Part 2 or advanced qualifications), meaning they are fully trained and qualified to erect scaffolding safely and correctly.
Can I erect my own scaffolding?
No, for health and safety reasons, only fully qualified scaffold erectors should erect scaffolding with the correct training, qualifications, and experience in erecting and dismantling safe structures.
Do you need planning permission to erect scaffolding?
Planning permission is not needed when erecting scaffolding on private land. However, a licence or permit is required for any structure placed on a pathway or highway that the general public or vehicles frequent. We will apply to the local council on your behalf.
Can my neighbours prevent me from putting up scaffolding?
It is always best practice to inform your neighbours that scaffolding will be erected at your property, especially if it infringes on or is near their boundary. On some occasions, parts of a scaffold may be required to be placed in the garden or area of your neighbour’s land, and you will need to obtain permission before we begin to erect the structure. It is their right to say no; however, most neighbours are helpful and do not mind. If you keep neighbours fully informed, then there are generally no issues.
