Service type: Solar panel scaffolding.
Address: Charmandean Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN14.
Customer needs: Our customer required a scaffold to the rear of their 2-storey terraced property for access to the roof where solar panels would be installed.
Difficulties we faced: We did not face any issues or problems when erecting this scaffold at the rear of this house. We took our normal care and attention when placing the scaffold tube uprights on to our customers patio area making sure we did not damage or deface the ground.
What we did: We put up a scaffolding structure that had 2 fully boarded lifts with stop end handrails at each end of the scaffolding framework, we also provided ladder access up to the bottom lift with another ladder installed from the base lift to reach the second lift. This working platform consisted of 1 inside board with the standards or upright scaffold tubes separating the 4 outside scaffolding boards. We also braced 3 of the 4 sets of the vertical tube to create extra stability and we also installed sway braces on each lift to give the scaffold more sturdiness. Explore our specialist roofing scaffolds for full roof access and edge protection, ideal for solar installations, re-roofs, and repairs (£350–£600 per side for 2-storey homes) or see a similar solar panel scaffolding we completed in Lancing.
Hire period: This client had a quick turnaround for this project and only required the scaffolding for 5 days although they could have had 4 weeks had they wished.
Do you want to know how much our scaffolds cost? Below we have listed some of our guide prices for standard scaffolds, but please be aware that these are just a guide as every client and property has different requirements. However, it does give you a good indication of what costs may be involved:
